Criminals and cyber-attackers are trying to trick you so they can take your EBT benefits! DON’T LET THEM.
Don’t:
Give your information to ANYONE:
- On the phone,
- Through text or
- By clicking links in emails
DHR will never ask for your card number or PIN number over the phone, via text or by email.
Be mindful of any third-party apps you put your SNAP card information on.
Do:
Change your PIN every month right before you get your benefits on your EBT card.
Not sure how? Call the number on the back of your card and select option 3.
What to do if your benefits are stolen
- Visit your county DHR office to complete a stolen benefits report at dhr.alabama.gov/county-office-contact.
- If you are unsure, contact your local office at dhr.alabama.gov/county-office-contact.
- Call the number on the back of your card to report your card stolen and order a replacement card.
- To get help finding a food pantry, visit feedingalabama.org/need-help.
Protecting your benefits keeps YOU from being a victim!
