Alabama Arise will host a community conversation at Boxcar in Opelika on Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will provide information on parole education, HR 1 (the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act), SNAP (also known as food stamps) and other community empowerment resources.

Sign-in starts at 10:30 a.m. We then will listen to community members’ concerns, joys and ideas. We will engage while tabling and sharing materials over lunch.
