Hello, I’m Pres Harris, organizing director at Alabama Arise, and I’m here today to invite you to our annual Legislative Day on Tuesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. We will meet at the State House in Room 200.

This is your opportunity to come and join with others from around the state to add your voice to theirs as they advocate for a better Alabama for all with our state legislators.

You, the members of Alabama Arise, make us unique among many of our fellow national partners because you, as members, set our issue agenda, and then you engage on those issues with policymakers to help see change happen in Alabama.

So we urge you to come speak up on April 2 and join us as we roam the halls of the State House, meeting with legislators, asking them to put forth the things that we care about to help create the kind of Alabama we would like to see.

You can register to attend Legislative Day by visiting alariseaction.org and clicking on the registration link and registering there to attend. Please register by March 25, because space is limited and lunch will be provided proved for you that day. There’s no cost to attend at all. We do ask if you are able to make a donation of $15 toward lunch, but that’s not a requirement.
